Setting New Year’s Resolutions for 2022? Then Let’s Make It Work.

Must read

“New Year, New Me!” but are you sure of it? First of all, welcome to the year 2022. As we close the door on a hysterical year (once more), there are so many exciting possibilities to look forward to this year! A six-pack by April? No sweat. Read 200 books? Make it a 201. Save some bucks and plan your future? Doable. Then, indeed you will need New Year’s Resolutions for 2022.

“Hey, have you planned out any new year’s resolutions?”

This will be a general question that you will get when you step into 2022. It is the perfect time to write up a list of New Year’s Resolutions, a step by step plan to help you reach the goals in your mind that you label as impossible. Brainstorming for new ideas for your New Year’s Resolutions plan? We got you covered! Here are six concepts that you can use for your schedule.

1. Saving Money

A classic, isn’t it? But have you ever kept your word and achieved the final goal? Now that’s the question. When you live off a paycheck, you might feel like you’re not spending enough and will be tempted to go all out until your bank account is famished. No matter what you say to yourself while spending, even the most minor purchases will soon lead to a mountain of debt. Hence you better start saving money. Also, you need to know how to save money correctly.

This is why most people open up a savings account. Having a savings account is one of the many ways to plan your New Year’s Resolution. In addition, it would help remind yourself that at least 20% of your annual income should go towards your savings. But do not rely on one saving option. It is better to diversify your portfolio.

2. Pick Up a New Hobby.

Remember when you had to carve out time from your daily schedule to learn the piano when you were young? Although it can feel challenging to find the proper timing now, you can pull a few strings and make it work.

Just because what you intend to do is challenging doesn’t mean that you have to do the most common hobbies that we already know. You can:

  • Try eating at a new place every month.
  • Try every flavour of ice cream in town.
  • Learn to cook.
  • Do some gardening.
  • Take a salsa dancing class.
  • Try to start a blog.

What you do can be small or big, and it will still be something for you to look back at during the end of the year.

3. Do Your Share For The Environment.

You may undoubtedly make a New Year’s resolve to go vegan or live a zero-waste lifestyle, but attempting to achieve such objectives might be a shocking shift if you’ve never done so before. So instead of going all-in with one goal, take baby steps. For example, try having one plant-based meal in your dinner, start thrifting instead of buying branded- overpriced clothes, there are so many other ways you can do your bit for the environment around you.

4. Change Your Look.

Weight loss and having a healthy lifestyle are two of the top ten most popular New Year’s resolutions. Yet, on the other hand, Fitness resolutions tend to be close to the end since most people want results quickly. But in the day-to-day world, you cannot just get your dream body within two days. Instead, you will start noticing a bit of progress after a few weeks of consistent workouts, healthy diets and discipline.

But if you are searching for easier ways to jazz up your look, you can try a new haircut and take a few inches off your hair, try out a fresh colour or even get a tattoo. Don’t be afraid to embrace bold and vibrant colours, and wear outfits that you thought you could never pull off. So make the year 2022 to be a new and bright you!

5. Give Up Your Night Owl Routine.

Getting 8 hours of sleep is not easy, and many people never do rest for 8 hours every night. A survey was conducted called the Puffy Sleep Survey found that around 59% of the participants slept an average of fewer than 6 hours every night. However, a good night’s sleep is essential for our overall health, and it brings a lot of benefits:

  • Increase productivity.
  • Improves mood.
  • Immunity system boost.
  • Preventing weight gain.

Go to bed at a proper time every night, avoid consuming any alcohol or caffeine before bed, try turning off your electronic devices at least 40 minutes before your bedtime, and make sure the atmosphere is conducive to a good night’s sleep.

Summary.

Setting New Year’s resolutions might feel like a banal undertaking, especially when data regarding failed resolutions aren’t drowned out. However, contemplating solutions might assist you in reflecting on the past and gaining a better knowledge of what needs to change in the future.

Despite popular belief, a new year does not inevitably result in a new you, but it may encourage you to be better, and resolutions might assist with that
